Fluitomaan? Hoezo dan?

Jeroen onderscheidt zich door zijn veelzijdigheid: van huis uit is hij dwarsfluitist, maar door de jaren heen is hij allerlei soorten houten blaasinstrumenten gaan bespelen: de complete families van de dwarsfluit, fagot, klarinet, hobo, blokfluit, panfluit en vele etnische fluiten zoals tin whistle, low whistle, didgeridoo, bansuri en shakuhachi.

Na zijn klassieke opleiding aan het Brabants Conservatorium is hij voornamelijk werkzaam in de lichte muziek: onder andere bij Flairck, Pater Moeskroen, Zenga,  3Js en maakt hij nu deel uit van Sentime Muziek.

Erg bijzonder is dat Jeroen als fluitist ook in de meer heavy muziek terecht is gekomen, zo is hij te horen op vele CD's van onder andere Ayreon, the Gentle Storm, Xandria en Epica.

Jeroen is vanwege zijn enorme assortiment van blaasinstrumenten een veelgevraagd studio-muzikant: echte instrumenten klinken nu eenmaal veel beter en levendiger dan samples.

Jeroen distinguishes himself through his versatility: originally a flutist, he's played all sorts of woodwind instruments over the years: the complete families of flutes, bassoons, clarinets, oboes, recorders, pan flutes, and many ethnic flutes such as the tin whistle, low whistle, didgeridoo, bansuri, and shakuhachi.

After completing his classical studies at the Brabant Conservatory, he primarily works in light music, playing for bands like Flairck, Pater Moeskroen, Zenga, and 3Js, and is currently a member of Sentime Muziek. Remarkably, Jeroen has also branched out into heavier music as a flutist, appearing on numerous CDs by artists including Ayreon, the Gentle Storm, Xandria, and Epica.

Jeroen's vast range of wind instruments makes him a sought-after studio musician: real instruments simply sound much better and more vibrant than samples.
